CRAFT - ARTISTIC PHRASING (Bb - Ab)
JULY 12th PERFORMANCE
SECTIONALS - COMO/RED WING/READY, SET, SING!
JULY 12th PERFORMANCE (CONT)
This week we will focus on songs for our July 12th performance in Stillwater. These 11 songs are a mixture of Show, Patriotic, Church and Polecats. This will give our audience a good idea of the variety of songs we sing and help recruit guests for our Ready, Set, Sing! Program. We will also have sectionals primarily focused on the newer show songs.
As a reminder, we have taken the time and effort to create learning tracks for all our songs. Please “carry your part” by taking some time to review those tracks! This will make our rehearsals even more productive.
As always, all are welcome to head to Whitey’s after rehearsal for our afterglow!
The Croix Chordsmen have chosen Valley Outreach as our 2022 Community Partner. We will be donating a portion of ticket sales/profits to Valley Outreach; we are also exploring the idea of having food donations accepted at all shows in 2022 (details to follow soon).

Our thought for our show is to invite our female family/friends to join us to learn Katie's part and perform with us on the show.
As we mentioned last night, Whitey’s Warblers was able to use the Valley Access Channel studio to record the video in higher quality. Right now we have all eight songs in one clip, but next year we can break them into smaller segments to sell for Virtual Singing Valentines. We thought we’d give our members a preview

The Chapter Board and Music Team have decided to try to improve our communications to our members. We currently have about 60 names on our email list and many of those on the list are not actively involved with rehearsals and performances.
We would like to create two email lists, one list would be for those currently singing with the chorus (even though you may be away for the winter). The other will be the full list of members and former members who want to stay informed on Chorus news in general. We are using a new system to manage our email lists. At the bottom of this email you will find a link to “unsubscribe” from rehearsal and music emails (if you no longer need messages about rehearsal music). We will continue to publish a Monthly Newsletter, and when you receive that email you can also opt out if you don’t care to receive any emails from the chorus.
Unrelated to the email list changes, the music team has posted new versions of Silence Is Golden in our Learning Track, and Learning Video sections of the website. Some of you may have the original version of the chart on your computer, iPad, or printed in your music notebook. If so, please replace your copy with the versions on the website, it will be identified as Version 3 in the header of the printed music. Most of the changes are in the bass part to make it more “singable”.
For those of you attending rehearsal at Bradshaw on Tuesday, please print copies of Silence Is Golden, Donna – Earth Angel Medley, and ‘Till Then from the PDFs on the website. For those who don’t have the ability to print, we’ll have a few copies at Bradshaw. For those on Zoom, we’ll plan to use the scrolling videos since we know some of you won’t be able to print copies.
To recap, if you don’t care to see future emails related to our repertoire, or rehearsal please click the link below to be removed from this email list. You will still continue to receive the Monthly Newsletter and other communications that aren’t directly related to our rehearsals and performances.
If you have any questions please contact any member of the Board or the Music Team.
